RARE vintage (1953) Lionel Toy Company Lionel-Porter Mineralogy Collectors Lab. It's in decent condition but has many spots of rust. Even still, this is one of the rarest ones from the Lionel educational kits.
1953 is the date on the instruction manual. Set is in a tri-fold hinged metal case, with various compartments containing various rocks and minerals, and many other items, such as testing papers and glass vials, etc.
Box measures 13 1/2 by 9 1/2 by 4 1/2 closed. Approx. 30" across fully opened condition
