This wonderful "buddy" brooch is done in plastic, articulated at the arms and legs, and designed as a Navy Sailor in a blue dress - his legs state "My man is in the Navy Hands Off" - very hard to find and very collectible! Not - often, these pieces were sent home to "sweethearts" while the men were fighting the war.
Book Note - my research indicates that similar pieces may be found in Leigh Leshner's Collecting Plastic Jewelry, page 120/163, w/an estimated book value of over $200

Condition ~ pre-owned vintage—while there is some wear to this sailor's face this pin is excellent for its age—it wears wonderfully! All materials are present, and the hardware is in good working order.
